Meet Our Instructors
Smiling couple piggybacking in a snowy forest.

Students often appreciate her ability to explain why something works, making learning feel approachable instead of overwhelming.

Matt's dance background began in the competitive Country world before West Coast Swing became his primary focus. He now competes in WSDC at an intermediate level. He's continually refining his own dancing by training with top instructors and staying involved in the larger West Coast Swing community.

His teaching centers on efficient movement, musicality, and creating comfortable, natural partner connection, while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.

Together, they teach because they genuinely enjoy seeing people improve. Whether someone has never danced before or is working toward higher-level competition, their goal is the same: build strong fundamentals, create confident social dancers, and make learning West Coast Swing something students look forward to every week.

Matt and Lori's story began on the dance floor. One spontaneous dance sparked a connection, and that connection turned into a marriage. Today they enjoy helping other people discover the community, confidence, and joy that drew them to West Coast Swing in the first place. Although they share a teaching philosophy, they each bring something different to the classroom.

Lori has trained in more than ten dance styles, including Ballroom, Latin, Country, and Swing. Her broad experience gives her a deep understanding of body movement and partner connection, and she's especially skilled at breaking down technique into concepts that make sense.
